HUL’s secret D2C business - to cater to a niche set of consumers. HUL has set up agile nano-factories within existing factories to scale these brands. HUL plans to introduce some global brands to the Indian markets through this route.
During COVID, HUL also launched a platform for its retailers to place orders, circumventing the usual salesperson route. It also launched a partnership with SBI to avail of overdraft facilities to tide them over the lockdown.
